Our Commercial Models

We understand that no two clients have identical financial goals, balance sheet constraints, or energy requirements. That is why Truven Energy offers four distinct commercial models — ensuring that every client can access the right structure for their specific circumstances.

CAPEX Model

The client owns the renewable energy asset outright. Truven designs, procures, and constructs the plant to the highest technical standards. The client benefits from full ownership, maximum long-term energy cost savings, accelerated depreciation benefits, and complete control over their energy infrastructure.

Model-2

OPEX / RESCO Model

Zero upfront capital investment. Truven Energy or its financing partners own the asset; the client purchases clean energy at a pre-agreed, below-grid tariff for the duration of the contract. This model delivers immediate energy cost savings without any capital expenditure — ideal for clients who prefer to preserve capital for their core business.

Group Captive Open Access

Multiple corporate entities jointly own a renewable energy generating plant and consume the power through open access transmission at their respective facilities. This model delivers significant energy cost savings and regulatory benefits, making it particularly attractive for industrial groups and corporate clusters with multiple consumption centres.

Third Party Open Access

Energy generated at a remotely located renewable plant is wheeled to the client's premises through the state transmission network. This model enables access to cost-competitive, clean power without the need for on-site land — ideal for clients in urban or space-constrained locations.
